More Info +M.W. Hoss converted UNE’s 14,500 SF Bishop Street building from a former National Guard vehicle facility into a new home for the Department of Campus Services.
Built in 2019, the building had been leased to the National Guard and remained primarily vehicle-service space until the Guard moved out in fall 2025. We transformed the space into a working campus-services hub with offices and conference rooms, maintenance and housekeeping areas, grounds and laundry facilities, a fleet mechanics bay, wood shop, and campus mail center.
Oak Point Associates served as the architect for the project. The work included a full interior fit-out along with exterior improvements and MEP upgrades, including a 200 kW standby generator with automatic transfer, a new rooftop HVAC unit, fueling station, trash compactor, and the replacement of overhead doors with storefront to create a naturally lit shared office space.
The completed space balances modern office areas with the functional spaces needed to support the departments responsible for keeping a large campus running. The result is a flexible, efficient facility that brings a wide range of campus services together under one roof and gives UNE a space built to support its day-to-day operations for years to come.
